Wood Ducks
Has anybody ever seen any wood ducks at IR? Its in their breeding range and they like raise chicks in beaver habitat.
First visit at age 8 in 1963 numerous times since then,last visit 2021, 30+ times

No, but I have seen quite a bit of other waterfowl (mergansers, geese, loons, goldeneyes,swans, etc).
Woodducks sure are a pretty species and I love seeing them. They are also early migrators, so I think by early fall they maybe are already headed south from the island.
