Hatchet Lake cutoff trail conditions?

Post by Bobcat1 »

Just wondering if anyone who hiked this trail last summer recalls the trail conditions. I heard there was beaver activity that has flooded out portions of the original trail - is there a re-route? I'm talking about the trail from Hatchet Lake that intersects the Minong Ridge between Todd Harbor and Little Todd. I'm working out a plan for this summer's trip.

Yes, there was/is a reroute. It was clearly marked.
Given the dry conditions last summer it was easy; I could see it being a muddy mess under normal IR conditions.

Was there in September and that trail was is good condition. The beaver dams were open and the ponds were dry. The trails around the ponds was clearly marked.
