Twig Stoves ARE explicitly allowed

I know the question comes up from time to time and this eliminates any issue. From the superintendent's 2011 compendium, pg 13.

"Self-contained backpacking wood-burning stoves are allowed (e.g., Zip Stove).
o Self-contained wood-burning stoves hold the fire and ambers within a small fire box preventing escape, prevent the scorching of soil, and leave very little ash."
