The Isle Royale NPS account on instagram says that investigators are looking for information on an illegal fire and associated camp on the Mount Franklin Trail the evening of August 12 and into the morning of August 13th.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I returned from my trip this past Saturday, 6/11.
All in, I did about 70 miles from Sunday evening to Saturday morning.

When I flew into Windigo on 6/5, there was no one doing an orientation and everyone had to self permit outside of the visitor's center.
