Hello, First trip coming up fast. I'm curious as to how the bugs will typically be in the first week of August? Do I need headnets for the flies or will they have subsided by then?
Thanks,
Greg

Blackflies souldn't be a problem. Mosquitoes could be if there has been rain. We go early or late in the season, always bring headnets.

Always bring a headnet, cheapest insurance ever. That said, I've gone late July/Aug and typically the skeeters have come out as the sun goes down, but otherwise not too bad.

Re: Fly and Skeeter check
I was in the Washington Harbor area last week and bugs were non-existent. This doesn't mean it will be the same way when you're there, but it bodes well for your visit.
I always bring a head net and bug spray. It's not a lot to carry for the benefit it provides should you need it.
